Things to Do and Places to See in Currumbin Beach this Holiday Season

Currumbin Community Christmas Carols 2023

Are you staying in Currumbin Beach and looking for Christmas festivities to join? Check out the Currumbin Community Christmas Carols. This event, which will happen on the 20th of December, is created for the entire family to enjoy. It will start at 4:30 pm with Christmas-themed crafts and an inflatable slide for the kids to enjoy.

Next, watch some flower sticks and plate spinning performances. The Christmas show will commence at 5:30 pm with songs, dances, and other performances by local artists. Hear classic Christmas carols and newer songs with the kids as you watch the sunset. It will be a music-filled night, which will be capped off with the arrival of the jolly man, Santa Claus!

Don’t worry about getting hungry while watching the shows. Food trucks are ready to serve delicious food and beverages you and your family will enjoy. Wait until the end to watch the dazzling laser light show.

This free event will happen at Galleon Park.

Currumbin Community Markets

If going to community markets and checking out produce is your idea of therapy, then dive into it at the Currumbin Community Markets. This event, every Thursday, features fresh produce, food, and beverages for you and your family to enjoy.

Check out the stalls and purchase flowers to decorate your Currumbin Beach accommodation. Or visit any booth to order a glass of smoothie and some brunch. As you take in the scenery, feel free to lay a blanket on the freshly mown grass.

Find the Currumbin Community Markets at the grounds of 164 Duringan St. opposite the Currumbin RSL. Learn about this event here.

Christmas Feast at Currumbin RSL

Since we’re already in the area, head to the Currumbin RSL to have a Christmas Feast with the entire family. This feast, which runs from 11th to 24th December, will feature a delicious 2-course menu for lunch and dinner. Feast on tasty roast turkey breast and glazed ham to feel the spirit of Christmas. Balance it with some roasted vegetables slathered in sumptuous gravy and cranberry jus. Cap it all off with pudding with brandy custard.

Watch a Christmas show at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Experience a fun Christmas with the kids at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary with Blinky Bill’s Christmas Wish Show. This entertaining show will feature the Sanctuary’s resident mascots, Blinky and Nutsy. This Christmas-themed show runs twice daily (10:15 am and 12:30 pm) until 24th December. After each show, there will be photo sessions with mascots, plus special dino baby guests.

Do some good this Christmas.

Spread kindness and generosity by volunteering in any of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s Save Wildlife Christmas Programs!

If you have a knack for gift wrapping, check out the Sanctuary’s Volunteer to Wrap for Wildlife fundraiser at the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. Wrap gifts as best as you can and raise funds to save the various wildlife in the care of Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

You can also buy the Sanctuary’s special Christmas hamper, starting at $89. Buy it for yourself and savour the tastiest treats local manufacturers can offer. Or you can purchase it as a Christmas gift to friends and family.

Love koalas and passionate about saving them and their habitat? Then, buy a Christmas tree for these adorable little critters. Buy one eucalyptus tree for just $10, and the Sanctuary will plant it in your honour. You can produce as many as 250 eucalyptus trees for $2,000 or donate $1,000, and you’ll get to name a row of trees.

You can also check the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and Conservation Wish List and purchase items to donate. Or you can donate cash to allow Sanctuary staff to purchase the equipment and supplies the facility needs themselves. Learn more about these events and donation drives here.
