Right around the corner. Cooly Rocks On Festival is back with another nostalgia throwback to the glorious 50s, 60s and 70s.
For swing, rockabilly, vintage and retro lovers, it’s a 5-day extravaganza of live music on stage, vintage pageants, dance comps, vintage markets and over 900 classic cars and motorcycles to admire on the beachfront.
Still not convinced? Well, it’s FREE to attend. Don't miss it from June 9 to June 13.
Lawn bowls fan? Head to the “lawn bowls capital of Australia” (yes, the Gold Coast!) for two weeks of non-stop action in 13 premier Gold Coast bowls clubs. The main format is Singles, Pairs and Fours in knockout rounds, with a total of $275,000 up for grabs.
Join in or spectate the excitement from June 12 to June 25.
Been running during a lockdown? Test your newfound endurance at this year's Gold Coast Marathon, featuring 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and full 42km marathon distances, plus Junior Dash Runs for kids.
Run competitively, for charity or for fun in this weekend-long event, which boasts a perfect flat circuit passing the Gold Coast’s prized beaches. If you’re not a runner, you can always come along to cheer and soak up the atmosphere.
Gold Coast Marathon 2021 takes place July 3 and July 4.
Following its first-ever event in 2019, the Kirra Longboard Klassic is finally returning for another just-for-fun longboarding showcase on iconic Kirra Beach. This year, the event has been extended to two days!
There’s no competition involved, so simply head over to Kirra Beach to showcase your longboard skills or observe from the beachfront on July 10 and July 11.
Heritage, culture, art and expression - BLEACH is a unique annual Gold Coast festival that celebrates the region’s most talented artists and performers. Over 11 days, you can expect to see everything from live music and dance to circus, theatre and live performance art.
The BLEACH Festival program includes free and ticketed performances for all ages and tastes, alongside workshops, special guest talks and more. BLEACH 2021 will take place on Burleigh Beach from August 12 to August 22.
